Being a WEMN mentor is 

about more than showing up for meetings - it’s about sparking growth, modeling leadership, 

and creating space where 

young women can thrive. 

Here’s how we do it:

• Empower, Don’t Direct: Guide mentees by sharing experiences, offering insights, and asking thought-provoking questions rather than giving instructions.
• Consistency & Availability: Attend scheduled meetings, offer periodic check-ins, and follow through with any promised resources or support.
• Cultural Humility: Acknowledge and respect the lived experiences and identities of diverse mentees. Listen more than you speak.
• Model Leadership & Balance: Demonstrate how to navigate professional      environments while honoring boundaries, mental health, and personal values.
• Champion Equity & Access: Advocate for fair opportunities in the workplace and share strategies for navigating bias, barriers, and leadership pathways.
